Starting of ‘Shishuraksha Child Rights Cell’
 
 

For the majority of children in India abuse, exploitation and labour servitude is a way of life. KSCCW, Bangalore has for several years been involved in promoting and protecting rights and entitlements of children particularly the vulnerable and disadvantaged..

In line with its practice, KSCCW, Bangalore in collaboration with Oasis India have initiated the Shishuraksha Child Rights Cell which would address in a comprehensive and holistic manner rights of children especially the children in need of care and protection

The SCR Cell would focus on the following
 
Legal Assistance in terms of taking up cases of offences committed against children.
  To create awareness and understanding amongst children on their rights
  To engage and dialogue with the community on child rights issues
  To mobilize public opinion on critical child rights issues like child labour
  To network and link with other groups to promote child rights
  To initiate advocacy programmes for development and enforcement of children’s rights
     
    The Cell is located at the newly constructed Sharayu Bhatia Samaj Seva Kendra adjacent to our Main Office and projects block at Jayamahal, Bangalore.
