| Forty to fifty young women are trained each year for ten months to work as “Balasevikas” in underprivileged rural and urban communities. Set up as early as 1962, the minimum qualification to the course is a high school pass or fail. Balasevikas comprehend the developmental needs of children and are capable, multipurpose community workers who are in great demand as pre school educators, community organizers, crèche workers etc., |
