 Children’s Day Celebration:
 
 

 
 
 

On 14 th November 2006, the Children’s Day Central function will be held at Bal Bhavan. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka will inaugurate the function and confer the Bravery Awards to the children. The KSCCW Distinguished Social Worker award will also be given on this day. Followed by cultural programmed by children.

    Painting Competition:
 
 
 
 

On 15 th July 2006 National Level painting competition at Bangalore.

The competition was conducted at five zones viz., Basavangudi, Indiranagar, Jayamahal, Malleshwaram and R.T. Nagar and also in five districts - Belgaum, Dharwad, Tumkur, Shimoga and Bagalkot. Around 750 children participated in Bangalore.

On 17 th and 18 th Aug’06 Cultural competitions for Govt, Corporation and Aided school children was held at three zones viz., Makkala Koota, Chamarajpet, KSCCW - Jayamahal and IYC Centre -R.T. Nagar. 49 schools participated in the same.

On 19 th Aug ’06 Quiz Competition for high school children - around 100 children from 15 schools took part in an English and Kannada Quiz Competition which was held at IYC centre, R.T. Nagar. 5 schools won prizes

 Bal Utsav:
 
 

 
Bal Utsav for the institutionalized children will be held on 12 th Oct’06 at Bal Bhavan, Cubbon park. Cultural competitions for juniors and seniors will be held on the 12 th Oct’06 while the Painting and Essay Writing competitions were held at the respective institutions on 8 th Oct’05.

    Special needs Children:
 
 
 

On 13 th Oct’06 Cultural competition for special needs children will be held at Bal Bhavan. Competitions in song, dance and fancy dress will be held.

 Prize Distribution:
 
 

 
In Nov’06 Prize Distribution function will held at Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park. Prizes for the winners from the Painting, Cultural and Quiz competitions will be awarded. Cultural performances will be given by the winners.

 Shishuraksha Mela:
 
 
 
The annual Mela will be held in Dec’06 at our office premises at Jayamahal. Delicious home made eats, Sarees from Chettinad, knitwear, linen, bags, costume jewellery, etc were displayed for sale. The very popular White Elephant stall (second hand items) will display its items.
